As a Supervisory Contract Specialist, GS-1102-15, within GSA/Office of Information Technology Category\'s Information Technology Category Acquisition Operations, my primary responsibilities include-Planning, managing, directing, and coordinating procurement activities for the pre-award and post-award functions associated with GSA\'s telecommunication services and IT security contracts which are highly specialized, multiple award, global and government wide contractual vehicles with commercial firms providing government customers state-of-the art, high quality, commercial telecommunications and IT security services-Preparing an annual business plan outlining program objectives, strategies, goals, and resource requirements-Managing the human resources of the Division through subordinate supervisors-Assigning work, plan and schedule the work of subordinates, counseling subordinates on all employment-related issues, establishing and modifying employee position descriptions, making selections for employment and promotions, establishing employee performance standards, evaluating employee performance, taking actions to correct employee misconduct or unacceptable performance up to and including removal, awards for employee performance, developing Division practices for granting employee leave requests, and grant employee leave requests-Supervising professional, administrative technical and clerical positions, grades GS-5 through GS-14-Developing solicitations, conducting negotiations and making awards on individual or consolidated requirements; in so doing, representing and speaking for the Federal Government.
