Fostering Acadia is a licensed independent living program that serves over 100 youth, ages 17-21, with life skill development and case management services to support their transition out of foster care and into adulthood. Fostering Acadia was founded by former foster parents and was created through the lens of being a foster parent rather than a foster care professional. Fostering Acadia serves youth from across the state of Virginia and operates out of two campuses in Richmond and Tidewater.
