As a dedicated Social Work major with a minor in Child and Family Studies, I am deeply passionate about advocating for social change and supporting vulnerable communities. In addition to my academic pursuits, I serve as the Membership Chair on the Executive Board of the Black Student Union, where I help foster community engagement and create an inclusive space for students to thrive.I actively volunteer in the Waco community, offering my time to initiatives that focus on child poverty, mentorship, and providing resources for underserved families. As a mentor with Communities in Schools, I work one-on-one with students to provide guidance, encourage their academic growth, and help them overcome personal challenges. My professional mission is to create lasting, positive change in the lives of individuals and families, with a special focus on empowering youth and addressing issues of systemic inequality. I aim to combine my passion for social work with hands-on experience in mentoring and community engagement to make a tangible impact.I am also committed to continually building my leadership and advocacy skills, with the goal of pursuing a career in social work and child welfare.
