   Shopify

   Jun 2021 — Present

   Managed two teams of 7 developers at Shopify. One internal tooling system for Payments products, and the other the onboarding service for Payments products. Tooling started as the internal tooling for money products. Evolved into the tooling platform for all of Shopify money products. Migrating off of a giant ERB based internal mess to our stand alone service. React FE still with Rails BE over GQL. Bringing data informed decisions to our team. Scaling our platform to ingest auditing & logging for all of Shopify money products. Scaling Kafka ingestion to handle thousands of requests per second. Developed an internal React UI package for other teams to add to the tooling platform. The onboarding team is responsible for onboarding forms across many schemas for the varying money products across Shopify in order to verify the business and propogate the onboarding information to the various products. Both teams involve working with many teams all over the globe to integrate Shopify products.
