As a seasoned accounting and finance professional with a strong background in nonprofit financial auditing, I am passionate about leveraging financial expertise to support organizations that drive meaningful change. Currently, I serve as the Controller at South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC), where I oversee financial operations, strategic planning, and reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility and long-term sustainability.Previously, I spent nearly six years at AAFCPAs, rising from Staff Accountant to Audit Supervisor. There, I led complex audits for nonprofit clients, managed diverse teams, delivered board presentations, and conducted firm-wide trainings on evolving accounting standards. My experience spans human services, healthcare, affordable housing, and community development sectors.With an MBA from Nichols College and a BS in Accounting from Bentley University (Summa Cum Laude), I combine technical expertise with leadership and mentoring skills.    Managed the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals and accounting functions for the agency. • Recruited, managed, developed and evaluated the Accounts Receivable staff and Division Analyst team by providing timely mentoring, training and performance management. • Prepared the agency Uniform Financial Report (UFR) annually, gathering and evaluating contract performance measures and outcomes. Report budget versus actual expenses.
