Ut Prosim” – That I May Serve. The motto of my alma mater is something that I try to live by, both in my personal and my professional life. I believe that of all the tasks I have already accomplished, and of all the goals I have yet to reach, nothing will be more significant than the assistance I can provide to others. As \"Support\" is in my job title, every day my phone rings and my inbox filles with requests and questions from customers in need of help. Though it can feel mundane at times, the discussion almost always ends with a simple “thanks for your help!” When I reflect on the number of times I have heard this phrase, I am both humbled and satisfied knowing that I am doing something important with my career.I have a passion for problem solving and for working with computers. Few things in my job get me as excited as being able to share a tip, a trick, a shortcut, or even a completely new tool with someone I see doing things the hard way. Whether it’s showing a student a basic excel function, or telling a seasoned CAD veteran how to modify a line in a new way, I simply love sharing tools that help get the job done quicker. I frequently spend time digging into release notes and “what’s new” articles about the hardware and software I use. More often than not, I come up empty. However, when I do occasionally find that golden nugget of information about a program setting or a new feature, that’s when my inner nerd shines through and I draft an email or two to a colleague that I know would benefit from it. This is what I really enjoy, and I\'m grateful to be able to do this day in and day out.
