About Tyler Carson

Hello! My name is Tyler Carson. For over ten years, I’ve worked with researchers, consultants, City Agencies, and other stakeholders to improve the way we manage water in the built environment. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to support a wide variety of projects and policy decisions in the stormwater and resilience space. I am now a principal engineer at Arcadis, where I wear a few different hats as a supervisor, project manager, and client engagement manager in our New York City office. My technical background is in the balanced use of green and grey infrastructure to improve drainage, mitigate flooding, reduce CSOs, and promote resilience. Most recently, I\'ve worked closely with our clients to implement cloudburst systems in Southeast Queens, advance policy decisions related to NYC stormwater programs, streamline the NYC stormwater construction permit process, and develop an equitable and data-driven strategy for prioritizing resilience projects in Washington DC.
