As an attorney at Dodson Parker Behm & Capparella, PC, I bring more than 20 years of experience in courtroom advocacy to advise and assist clients with their litigation and dispute needs. I enjoy a diverse practice, handling all manner of employment, probate, criminal, and business litigation matters.I began her legal career Nashville’s Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office, and, since 2016, I have served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University, teaching a course in trial advocacy.Each year since 2014, I have been named an “Attorney for Justice\" by the Tennessee Supreme Court, signifying that I have devoted at least 50 hours per year to pro bono legal work. Since 2021, in particular, I have provided substantial pro bono representation to individuals and organizations that provide abortion care in Tennessee. In the wake of the Dobbs decision, I have endeavored to become has become an expert on Tennessee’s abortion law. I have worked with other lawyers, including my law partner Margaret Behm, to found and build the Tennessee Freedom Circle, an organization that advocates to change the laws in Tennessee that impair reproductive freedom.I am currently serving a four-year term on the Nashville Bar Association Board of Directors and I also serve on the Finance Committee of Christ Church Cathedral. In 2017, I was nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the Metro Council to the Greenways and Open Spaces Commission. By virtue of this position on the Commission, I also serve on the board of directors for Greenways for Nashville.
