I am a Principal and Litigation Manager in the Jacksonville, Florida office of Jackson Lewis P.C. I represent and counsel employers in the public and private sector on all aspects of employment-related issues. I regularly represent employers in disputes, litigation, and arbitration involving trade secrets, non-competition agreements, non-disclosure agreements, wage hour allegations, and allegations of race, gender, national origin, disability, age, marital status, genetic information and religious discrimination. I also defend employers in cases involving allegations of defamation, sexual harassment, and whistleblower and workers’ compensation retaliation. I assist employers in drafting employee handbooks and policy manuals, handling unemployment compensation appeals, and responding to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state and local agency charges of discrimination. I also guide employers through Department of Labor investigations involving allegations of unpaid overtime and minimum wages. I am available to speak on a broad range of employment-related legal topics and have co-written presentations and lectured on topics such as: “Employment Law in a Virtual World”; “The Holiday Party: Laughs, Libations and Liability”; “Fearless Firing: Saying ‘Goodbye’ without a Courthouse Reunion”; “Preparing an Effective Employee Handbook”; and “A Ticking Time Bomb: Do Your Handbooks and Policies Violate the National Labor Relations Act?”.
