Professional Experience External Affairs Sustainability Specialist, Energy Storage | Albemarle Corporation | Charlotte, NC July 2023-February 2024 - Instituted improvement action plans and facilitated the implementation of government advocacy initiatives to drive sustainability improvements around lithium and the electric vehicle value chain- Supported self-assessments and audits for 12 mining sites worldwide by reviewing and identifying applicable regulations in 2500 global and local policy and procedural documents. Ensured the compliance of the Xinyu, China refining site, representing $1B in contracts, with Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) reporting standards by compiling and providing auditors with up-to-date, replicable regulatory documentation including modern slavery compliance regarding the Uyghurs in China and in cobalt mining in the DRC.
