PersaudAs a Legislative Fellow, I support Senator Persaud’s legislative, committee, and community initiatives through research, coordination, and constituent engagement. My role involves- Managing and drafting co-sponsorship requests and communications for priority legislation- Monitoring and analyzing support and opposition memos to inform policy strategy- Assisting in the preparation of budget letters and legislative correspondence- Coordinating committee agendas, voting sheets, and attending committee meetings- Tracking legislation and providing policy updates to the Senator’s team- Representing the office in meetings, webinars, and community events, while maintaining detailed records- Supporting the planning and execution of public events, webinars, and community initiatives- Contributing to the overall efficiency of the office through administrative support, scheduling assistance, and constituent services.This opportunity, as a fellow, will enhance my experience in legislative research, policy development, and public service, allowing me to directly contribute to advancing impactful legislation and community engagement efforts.
