About Tyler Merkley
After graduating Summa Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Alabama, I was given the opportunity to work at Arnold & Itkin LLP to learn valuable lessons and skills in the legal field. While at A&I I was able to attend and assist with four high value trials, several depositions, and several hearings. I have learned how to write demand letters, depo and trial outlines, briefs, and more. I am now in my 1L year at the University of Texas School of Law, where I have further fostered my interest in litigation. I have been able to actively participate in the Board of Advocates and competed in the 2023 Foley & Lardner Novice Mock Trial Competition. This semester I competed in the Strasburger Advanced Mock Trial Competition, advanced to the final round, and received the Best Advocate award. I am very excited for what the future holds, as I continue to learn and grow as a litigator under the advisement of the university\'s advocacy department.
