ABOUT TYLER MALONE
I am the Director of the Bassett Research Institute (BRI). The BRI conducts research to understand and improve the health and well-being of individuals and rural populations. We develop strategies to improve health care delivery, prevent illness, and manage chronic disease in support of the Bassett Healthcare Network’s mission. As a research Investigator, I specialize in health services research and econometrics. I have a Ph.D. in Health Policy and Management from the University of North Carolina and a Master\'s degree in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan. My research interests include rural health services, substance use disorders, and mental health outcomes.
