The world doesn’t have to be what it is. I believe that by listening to the people around us and putting helping others at the center of how we understand success we can revolutionize our lives, our communities, and our society. We have the chance to unlock so much potential in ourselves and to help those around us do the same. I have spent my career leveraging knowledge to help others to make better decisions to accomplish the goals they have for their organizations and businesses. We have drastically underestimated the power that putting people at the center of how we learn, what questions we answer, and what drives our actions we can achieve more together. At the end of the day, our society doesn’t grow or change by trying to change society - it all starts and ends with the people around us. My work throughout the social sector focuses on how, by putting the people we really care about and work with at the center of how we learn about and share our impact, we can finally start to help shift the tides on poverty, unlock the innovative potential of not just just organizations, but the people they serve and empower decision-makers with better knowledge about how best to invest the resources they have at their disposal. Our society has become more divisive than ever and our politics more mired in conflict because we have stopped thinking about and having discussions with the people around us - we’ve stopped seeing the purpose of our work, our vision, how we create value as helping people. It is time to change that.
