Coaching high school baseball at Tempe Prep has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. I have never shied away from leadership opportunities on any team that I have been a part of, and have always been drawn to leadership positions, which has been an innate personality trait of mine. This past season, getting to help players improve firsthand and, therefore, getting to watch them see improvements in their game is all a coach can ask for. Leadership, confidence, time management, problem-solving, and innovation skills are all required when leading a group of high school players. I have learned so much while in this management position and seen all of these qualities that were there get much stronger through this experience.
