About Tyler Hebert

Tyler is a 3rd year undergraduate at College of the Atlantic. He leads and mentors students and student leaders on campus as the lead resident advisor. He has served on multiple governance committees, staff searches, and faculty performance reviews. He volunteers in the community as a member of the Mount Desert Island YMCA board of directors, contributing to strategic planning and fundraising committees. Tyler founded Downeast Energy Solutions in 2025. Through market research and local energy auditing internships, Tyler noticed that the downeast area of Maine was lacking an independent energy auditing company.Downeast Energy Solutions helps homeowners and businesses reduce energy costs and improve occupant comfort. Tyler is apart of the 2025/26 Ecology Shifts fellowship program. The fellowship is hosted through the Land Peace Foundation (LPF). The program is co-led by LPF CEO, Sherri Mitchell (Weh\'na Ha\'mu Kwasset), and LPF board member Dr. Darren Ranco.

   Mentor and guide resident advisor team alongside the Director of Residence Life and Student Experience.(DRLSE)- Collaborate with DRLSE to complete administrative duties- Meet with Cabinet and Board of Trustees leadership as needed- Student representative of campus-wide emergency calls for a large NPO when on call- Mediate conflict and complete incident reports as needed- Facilitate general maintenance supervision and report to Director of Buildings and Ground as needed- Role model safety and wellbeing- Program house meetings and events- Facilitate health and safety checks on a regular basis
