About Tyler Geike
I’m an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and find clarity. With a warm, relational, and person-centered approach, I support clients through trauma, anxiety, stress, performance blocks, and major life transitions. I specialize in Brainspotting and am a certified Brainspotting Therapist with advanced training, integrating brain–body healing with evidence-based, trauma-informed care.My clinical work is grounded in equity-minded, holistic practices. I draw from CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, narrative therapy, trauma-informed attachment work, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic principles. Across all settings; private practice, community mental health, college counseling, and youth services—my goal is always the same: to create a supportive space where people feel seen, understood, and genuinely connected. In addition to individual therapy, I build creative therapeutic resources including art-based anxiety workbooks for kids and teens, stress management groups for musicians, and Brainspotting-informed tools for both clients and clinicians. I’m also in the works of developing Ember and Oak Therapy, a growing practice with a focus on authenticity, relational depth, and integrative healing. Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years in college counseling at UC Davis, Sacramento State, and California community colleges, providing crisis response, career development support, and personal counseling. I have a long-standing passion for first-generation student success, intersectional equity, and the integration of mental health and career counseling.I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from Sacramento State, my BA in Sociology with a Minor in Education from UC Davis, and two Associate Degrees from College of the Canyons. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: people remember how you make them feel. I aim to meet every client with authenticity, empathy, and deep respect for their story.
