ABOUT TYLER FITCH
I\'m a clean energy policy advocate, driven by the hope and ambition that our transition to cleaner electricity will lead to a more just and equitable world. I was a Dow Sustainability Fellow at the University of Michigan and received my Master’s of Science in Energy & Climate Policy from Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability in 2018 as a part of Tony Reames\' Urban Energy Justice Lab. The biggest conclusion I took out of that? Environmental governance can\'t be reduced to one type of actor-we need to look at the whole picture. At the University of Michigan, I worked closely with a community-based organization in Highland Park, Michigan on an innovative, community-centered solar model. As an advocate, I helped to launch a climate action campaign at U-M, which culminated in their signing of the #WeAreStillIn petition (I went on to represent the University at the COP!). Previously, I was a data scientist at ICF International, where I developed ENERGY STAR scores for commercial and multifamily buildings and managed data initiatives for the Multifamily sector of the Better Buildings Challenge. Whenever I get the chance, I\'m back in North Carolina for biscuits and folk music.
