At weber I joined with the focus to stabilize and modernize the Weber Connect app after a prior implementation fell short of expectations. Working alongside other senior/staff level engineers, our focus was on rebuilding critical Bluetooth connectivity features that enable seamless communication between iOS devices and Weber’s smart grills and accessories. This included ensuring reliable temperature monitoring, device pairing, and real-time data synchronization. By applying modern Swift UIKit, SwiftUI, and Combine & asynchronous practices, we delivered a more resilient, user-friendly foundation that restored trust in the app’s performance and improved the connected grilling experience for customers.
