Directed west coast Current Expected Credit Loss (“CECL”) practice responsible for the design and implementation of CECL programs, including program management, quantitative model approaches, qualitative reserve methodologies, data integration, management reporting, controls and governances. Oversight over team responsible for end-to-end redesign on a Fortune 500 company’s enterprise risk management framework, including policy development, identification processes, quantification methodologies, taxonomy, and executive reporting.Led team that performed bottom-up risk assessment (across all risk stripes) to identify and assess inherent risk, controls, and residual risk ratings.Developed an issues management program through successful implementation of technology solutions to document and track the workflow of open internal audit, regulatory findings, as well as self-identified issues through closure. Led teams to develop credit loss models for long-term term forecasting use. Products include both retail and wholesale loans. Model development process included model landscape and rationalization, line of business socialization and approval, statistical and qualitative model development and documentation, as well as support during validation and regulatory review.Assisted in the design of CCAR and DFAST base and stress scenario forecasting processes, including alignment with economic forecasting process for CECL. Work included facilitating discussions between stress testing and credit loss teams to create the target operating model for CECL across scenario generation and modeling.Managed team responsible for the allowance of loan and leases losses recalculation review in order to replicate balance and charge-off data, qualitative inputs, and review of operational procedures.
