ABOUT TYLER HUMPHREYS

Tyler Humphreys graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the Fall of 2018, with a Degree in Construction Science and a Minor in Business. Through both his formal education, entrepreneurial spirit, and his self-directed studies, Tyler has experienced different aspects of Construction Coordination, Business Management, Project Planning and Control, and how important every aspect is for successful project deployment.Tyler works in Construction Management as a Project Engineer with hopes of working throughout all stages of projects. This starts by building it first in VDC then coordinating throughout the project with BIM technologies. He loves utilizing existing and new tech to help keep costs down on a project by thoroughly implementing systems and processes. He hopes that in the (near) future, everything is coordinated ahead of time, and every project is built twice: Once virtually to insure everything is coordinated clash free and the second time with accurate and precise shop drawings for field use. By building first virtually, Tyler believes that many conflicts can be resolved ahead of time instead of on site. VDC and BIM ensure prompt project schedules can be achieved and help with cost by allowing for prefabrication and delivery as needed on site.Through his entrepreneurship ventures, he worked with a company as their product developer contractor, acquired a patent, as well as gaining two years of design work in consumer electronics.Tyler Humphreys plans on pursuing as many opportunities and ventures as he can, especially if he can utilize his experiences as a way to change how processes or procedures are developed within a company. He believes that the key to success lays in coordination and communication. He loves staying one step ahead of the competition by thinking outside the box, utilizing new technologies, and learning new processes and procedures to get a leg up on the competition.
