Entering and filling prescriptions using Kroll pharmacy software. Reviewing and checking prescriptions, including blister packs, for authenticity, completeness, safety, and appropriateness.• Prescribing medications for eligible conditions under BC’s Minor Ailment and Contraception Services (MACS), including antibiotics for urinary tract infections and hormonal contraception. Preparing and administering opioid agonist therapy (OAT), such as methadone and suboxone, to eligible patients. • Counselling patients on various prescription prescriptions and answering their questions related to over-the-counter/OTC medications. Administering injections, such as Twinrix and Shingrix, as well as seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, to eligible patients.

ABOUT TY GUO
I am a 2023 Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) graduate from the University of Alberta, currently registered and working as a staff pharmacist in a community setting in the Lower Mainland of BC. Prior to my admission to the University of Alberta\'s PharmD program, I completed three years of a Bachelor\'s degree in Health Sciences Honours at the University of Calgary.My current role as a clinical staff pharmacist involves counselling my patients on their prescription medications, recommending over-the-counter medications for their minor ailments, and developing care plans for those with multiple chronic conditions - I find it highly rewarding to make a positive impact in people\'s lives every day. Outside of my professional pursuits, I like to engage in physical exercise such as weightlifting, while continually expanding my knowledge on various health and fitness-related topics. I\'m always keen to explore new places and the beautiful outdoors that BC has to offer. Happy to connect and chat!
