My Quality Management course offers students a comprehensive understanding of management practices and concepts aimed at enhancing organizational quality and productivity. The class reviews literature in health and business management and analyzes quality approaches, quality best practices, quality initiatives, and perspectives from selected organizations. Topics include Statistical Measurement Techniques, Systems Analysis, Lean Thinking, Work Design, and Root Cause Analysis.Before completing the course, students complete a process improvement project, identifying a real-life problem occurring in the workplace or not-for-profit organization, and develop data data-driven solution utilizing the DAMAIC method.
