About Ty Kaup

Growing up in rural Nebraska, the values of hard work, respect, and trust were ingrained in me from the beginning. Some of my earliest memories include constructing tree-forts, walking through the pasture, and swimming in the Elkhorn River. I will forever cherish my childhood because of all the mistakes I made and lessons I learned along the way. Entering into high school, I thought that I had everything figured out. Where I wanted to attend college, what career I would choose, and even where I wanted to live. By senior year, everything I thought I knew had vanished. No college stuck out to me, no major seemed to fit, and no city in the world was cool enough. Thank you to John Baylor, the decision to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln was easy. After hours of searching for what to study, Agribusiness Management stuck out as a way for me to link my rural background and keen interest for business principles. One of my passions is all the ins and outs of how business are run. What makes them unique? Where can they improve? How do they make their money? With a little over a year left of school, I am continuing to build my understand of corporations, big and small, and also have as much fun along the way. Outside of school, some of my hobbies include: hunting in Western Nebraska, golfing at Indian Trails Country Club, and snowmobiling in the Rocky Mountains. Above all, no matter where I end up, I\'ll always be \"just a good ol\' farm kid\"
