About Ty Balascio

Nature is the artist, and wood is one of her many canvases. Discovering the beauty of wood comes in so many forms. The grain, texture, burls, and colors combine to paint an unparalleled scene. Each board off of the mill exposes a masterpiece to the Sawyer for the 1st time. Few of life\'s pleasures rival the moment a woodworker applies finish to a project; exposing and preserving nature\'s art. This chapter in my life enables more people to experience that joy. We get inspired by woodcrafters around the world. Many pass up their inspirations due to limitations of equipment necessary to create with wood. I find windfall and arborist trees, mill them, dry the wood, surface it, and ready it for projects. From wall clocks to dining room tables, my joy comes from helping clients make heirlooms. Get inspired. Create. Life\'s too short to be surrounded by particle board.
