The Atlanta Falcons are a professional American football team based in Atlanta. The Falcons compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the National Football Conference (NFC) South division. The Falcons were founded on June 30, 1965, and joined the NFL in 1966 as an expansion team, after the NFL offered then-owner Rankin Smith a franchise to keep him from joining the rival American Football League (AFL). The team was first owned to Rankin Smith Sr. an Executive Vice President of Life Insurance Company of Georgia.On December 6, 2001, billionaire and Home Depot Co-founder Arthur M. Blank reached a preliminary agreement with the Falcons\' owner, Taylor Smith to purchase the team for a reported $545 million. In a special meeting prior to Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 2, 2002, NFL owners voted unanimously to approve the deal. The Falcons moved into their new home, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the 2017 season. Their first game ever played at the new stadium was a preseason loss to the Arizona Cardinals.In my role as a Group Sales Account Executive, I am responsible for selling group tickets to Falcons and travel fan groups, businesses, associations, schools, and various other nonprofit organizations. My responsibilities also include prospecting new businesses and organizations to market Falcons group ticket packages, as well as, the Falcons Fundraiser Program to get schools, foundations, and high school boosters clubs to participate in the Falcons Fundraiser Program to raise money for their organizations. Also, part of my role consists of collaborating with key internal stakeholders including Live Events, Season Tickets, Operations, Security, and Marketing teams to execute successful game-day activations including live events, product giveaways, and pre-and post-game experiences. During the off-season I’m responsible for prospecting, marketing plan development, outreach, and securing group deposits.

ABOUT TERRELL WILSON
Growing up in the inner city if Detroit, Michigan, I always had a passion for sports since I was a kid. This led me to an opportunity to attend Eastern Michigan University and pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management, with a Minor in Marketing. While there, I had the opportunity to work for Eastern Michigan Athletics, where I received my first glimpse of sports within collegiate athletics, specifically in the ticket operations department. I was responsible for talking and processing ticket orders for fans at all Eastern Michigan ticketing sporting events. I was able to interact with Eastern Michigan season ticket holders and fans at every event. Led the set-up of pre-game fan engagement activities such as tailgates and family gaming activations. My interpersonal skills and hard work led me to an opportunity for a summer internship at Eastern Michigan Athletics Ticket Office to gain more skills where I was responsible for making outbound cold calls to Eastern Michigan fans and Alumni to get them reconnected to the university and support Eastern Michigan Athletics. Upon graduation, I had the opportunity to work for the Aspire Group at Western Michigan Athletics where I was a Tickets Sales & Service Consultant. I was responsible for selling individual, group, and season tickets to all Western Michigan ticketing sporting events. This role gave me more responsibility in connecting with Western Michigan students, fans, and alumni to sell ticket packages and experiences. I was also responsible for connecting with top Western Michigan donors by developing interpersonal relationships and getting them to donate to the Mike Gary Fund to support Western Michigan Athletics.This led me to work in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons as a Group Sales Account Executive. I work with businesses, nonprofits, foundations, and travel groups to sell group packages and experiences at an NFL game. I am responsible for the Falcons Fundraiser Program, where I work with various of schools, foundations, and high school football booster clubs to partner with the Falcons Fundraiser Program and engage these organizations in an effort to experience an NFL game.
