About Taylor Vollmer
I’m your modern day CPA: trained to do things right and committed to doing them better.I invested the first six years of my professional career in the audit practice of a Big 4 firm. There I developed my technical capacity and keen eye for quality, led and grew numerous highly competent teams across industries and geographies, built financial statement audits from the ground up, navigated regulatory changes, and helped usher in technological advancements in an industry that was ripe for change. My successes in KPMG’s Audit practice culminated in my being asked to spearhead various local and national initiatives to stimulate innovation (D&A, continuous improvement) and employee engagement across the firm. These undertakings sparked in me an ambition to find (or create) and deploy solutions so that others, too, could do more with less. So I re-routed into KPMG\'s Advisory practice. As a consultant, I successfully guided my clients through significant financial transformation initiatives, including through providing policy/procedure assessment and enhancement support, accounting standards implementation, staff augmentation and training, project management, and related services. After capably executing on these key strategic priorities for clients in various industries all over the U.S, and in recognition of my unrelieved ambition to improve our ways of working, I was asked to step in to support KPMG\'s own back office transformation agenda where I currently serve as an Associate Director of Finance and Accounting. As I\'ve worked through three different practices of a leading professional services firm and delivered on countless audit, consulting, and internal projects, I\'ve found that efficacy and efficiency don’t always walk hand-in-hand. But they can. I’ve seen it happen. I’m making it happen. Responsibility | Restorative | Intellection | Belief | CompetitionThe views expressed are my own.
