ABOUT TUSHAR MATHUR

Reachable at m••••••••@gmail.comGoogle scholar: & hl=enI am a communications networking engineer with 15+ years of R&D experience across systems architecture, platform engineering, and advanced network performance analysis. I thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments where complex problems need elegant, scalable solutions. In my current role at Netskope, I lead the Platform Growth Engineering team within Platform Engineering, serving as a technical bridge between customers, field teams, and internal engineering. I focus on forecasting capacity needs for the Netskope NewEdge cloud security platform, and I routinely dive from high-level architectural views into fine-grained service analysis to ensure reliability, efficiency, and long-term scalability.Previously at ARRIS (CommScope) in the CTO office, I contributed to several forward-looking research initiatives, including OFDM/OFDMA communication methods, TCP/UDP throughput modeling vs SNR/MER, TCP congestion control behavior, and low-latency access (LLD). I developed proprietary network simulation models and UDP-based speed and latency measurement systems, which supported technical papers and patent submissions. As a systems architect, I also helped define the software and hardware architecture for the CCAP and Remote MAC/PHY platforms.Published article: Low Latency DOCSIS: Concept and Experimental Results (2021).Technical Strengths • Systems architecture, platform engineering, R&D prototyping, capacity modeling, network simulations, traffic engineering • Deep knowledge of TCP congestion control algorithms (one of my favorite areas of study) • Strong hands-on development skills in C++, Python, and MATLAB on Linux environments • Experienced with Linux debugging tools, open-source networking utilities (tcpdump, nc, Wireshark, brctl, netem), databases, and API services • Enjoy tackling complex, research-heavy engineering challenges
