ABOUT MICHELLE TURNER
Michelle joined Arcadis in 2015 as an Account Principal quickly moving into the role of Head of Client Services for the Health, Safety & Environmental Assurance team, incorporating the Design & Construction Team. Michelle formed the shape of the new Principal Design service and standardised the Arcadis Principal Designer service and CDM Client advisor roles. Michelle’s role grew to being an Associate Technical Director and in 2020 became Technical Director. Michelle is now the Service Line Lead for Compliance and RiskMichelle has also focused on the identification and management of organisational risks both internally and within a range of different sectors and industries including Utilities, Renewables, Telecoms, Manufacturing, Chem/Pharma, Leisure & Retail, Water, Residential and financial institutions.Prior to joining Arcadis, Michelle was a Partner and Director in a multidiscipline international consultancy company providing Health and Safety Consultancy and CDM Consultancy.Michelle has a strong background in Occupational and Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental Management systems.Michelle has undertaken many organisation audits and gap analysis of management systems across various sectors. Michelle has developed new management systems for many organisation, not just EHS systems but CDM and construction management systems. Michelle is an Occupational Hygienist involved in many projects within the UK covering workplace control, ergonomics and hazardous materials.Michelle has been involved in various Welfare, Health, Safety and Environmental due diligence assessments across varying sectors including renewable energy providers and contractors (construction and O&M).Michelle has experience of acting as a liability assessor undertaking Risk Audits for a variety of client sites as part of a ‘loss control programme’ in relation to Employers Liability, Products and Public Liability. This includes providing advice on weaknesses in their systems and improvements to ensure not only compliance, but best practice and robust defensibility.
