Small Capital is a 501c3 and for-profit impact investment firm focused on workplace democracy and community wealth via employee ownership. In this role, I have interviewed hundreds of small business owners to understand what keeps them from selling to their employees, and designed a capital product to provide market rate liquidity and enable employee ownership. I have performed financial, operational, and market due diligence on small businesses, analyzed corporate governance, and raised investment and grant capital from individual investors and family foundations. I serve as the operational and administrative leader for the organization, and manage our communications and relationships with stakeholders, managing vendors, back office, nonprofit compliance, and facilitate board meetings.
