ABOUT TUPHAN DEVKOTA

I am an adaptive research scientist with 8+ years of experience in photonics-based research on nanomaterials. My research is focused on understanding energy relaxation dynamics in nanoscale materials using advanced ultrafast spectroscopy and non-linear optics. Over the years, I have worked independently and as a team in several collaborative research projects, mentored and trained many new lab members, maintained lab equipment and lab safety. I am a self-motivated, methodical and target-oriented individual with an expertise in design, assembly and alignment of free-space optical systems. I have built multiple high sensitivity visible microscopy setups with single particle detection and ultrafast measurement capabilities. I also have hands on experience with several cleanroom techniques including lithography, deposition and etching.Currently, I am looking to transition into a role in R&D or equipment/application/field service in photonics/semiconductor industry.
