About Tulika Bhatnagar
I love organic farming, which I picked up in 2021. It’s simply amazing to work on my small farm, and to experience how a handful of soil can give you real life lessons.Professionally, I am a senior journalist having recently completed over 10 years with the BBC, and have moved on to an exciting international correspondent role with Bangladesh’ Press Xpress media house. I cover current affairs, politics, foreign policy, trade, and tourism among other things.I host the popular In-Depth talk show in which I speak with my guests about current affairs, politics, and news impacting India, Bangladesh, and the wider South Asia this, I was leading the production of the BBC’s Trusted News Initiative expansion into Asia Pacific. I produced an award-winning global talk show program on BBC World TV, online, radio and podcast: BBC Worklife India also reported on and produced several video stories with travel influencers, environmentalists, grassroots issues, and women achievers.I have 21+ years of work experience in media and journalism, and have been fortunate enough to work with some of the biggest names in national and foreign media. I started with tech journalism, working with the premier US-based Computerworld magazine. Then, I launched a sci-tech weekly broadsheet for the Hindustan Times, called Tech4U. I also had the amazing experience of digital journalism with HT. After a stint with a multinational corporate on digital content, I moved to the BBC World Service, in the Asia-Pacific team. I produced the award-winning BBC show, WorklifeIndia, for online, TV, radio and podcast media.I am now covering India and the South Asia region as a foreign correspondent for PressXpress, a print and digital publication backed by the Bangladesh PMO, which essentially brings the voice of the global South to the world. When not on news or the beloved farm, I’m found traveling, which I love - especially the Himalayas. I am known among my colleagues and friends as a \"hyper-local traveler and explorer\"! I am currently writing an interesting book on some of the remotest and nearly extinct tribes of the Uttarakhand Himalayas. Last but not the least, I\'m also committed to my small non-profit, which is based on the value of \"compassion with dignity\".
