The Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey is one of the oldest and most respected university programs in the world for students of translation, interpreting, and localization. Since 2019 I have served as an adjunct professor, teaching a yearly course called \"Account Management for Project Managers\" as part of the Translation and Localization Management program. The course covers topics such as introduction to account management, client behavior, understanding stakeholder expectations, crisis management, change management, communication modalities, expectations setting with KPI\'s (key performance indicators) and SLA\'s (service level agreements), adding value through project/program management, measuring stakeholder satisfaction, data reporting and dashboarding, quarterly business reviews, and soft skills for project managers.
