ABOUT MATT TUCKER

I enjoy software development, not just professionally but as a hobby as well. I love solving problems and learning new things (whether it be a new language, a framework or tool, some complex game, or just a new knot) and finding ways to apply them (judiciously of course!).I like to build things and see them used, and my favorite work in software is enabling the productivity of others on my team: creating a library or tool that makes it easier for my colleagues to build great features. I\'m often the guy who adds continuous integration if it\'s not there already, or code coverage reports if it already is.Beyond the world of software, my interests lie in better understanding and improving the world around me. I like to work on small projects around the house (build a shed, update the bathroom, automate the lights). I volunteered for a couple years at a dog training facility to learn more about animal behavior and how to best train my dog. I read a lot, often fiction but also about politics, economics, and cognitive science.
