About T. Scott Zimmerman

T. Scott Zimmerman currently serves as the General Manager of Bechtel Global Shared Services organization. Leading an exceptional team of professionals that provide Accounting, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Travel Procurement for the Bechtel enterprise worldwide.Prior to this assignment, Scott served as Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security and Environmental (NS & E) Global Business Unit Chief Financial Officer. NS & E is Bechtel’s government contracting business that supports U.S. and allied government agencies along with commercial nuclear EPC projects. NS & E’s business lines include nuclear security and operations, defense and space, environmental management and commercial nuclear. Earlier, Scott served as Bechtel’s Deputy Chief Information Officer, responsible for the global information systems strategy along with Bechtel’s big data & analytics center of excellence, global collaborative solutions, knowledge management, middleware, corporate records & information management, and communications. Additionally, he managed the global business and commercial operations for corporate IS & T. A long-time industry veteran, with a successful history in building technology companies, Scott is the former CFO of Digex, an internet hosting provider acquired by MCI and was Director of Finance for Genuity, one of the first large-scale ISPs, which was later acquired by GTE Internetworking. Scott was previously with Bechtel from 1985 to 1996 and in a finance role for the Power Global Business unit and a Commercial Systems role for Bechtel’s Phoenix Transaction Processing Center, which was the precursor to Bechtel Business Services (BBS). Scott holds a B.A. degree in economics and B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland and a M.S. degree in computer science from Hood College. He is a certified public accountant and has a certified management accountant certification.
