Developed an AI-powered mortgage assistant integrated into the mortgage web app\'s chat interface, capable of answering mortgage-related questions, guiding application steps, and assisting with compliance inquiries. Performed prompt engineering and fine-tuning for accuracy, maintained a custom knowledge base by computing embeddings on internal data, and leveraged Manticore database for semantic search. Utilized concurrent coroutines to process multiple API and database queries in parallel, improving responsiveness and scalability- Integrated the Usio API to enable credit/debit card and ACH payment processing, implementing secure tokenization to meet PCI DSS standards. Designed a complete payment workflow supporting one-time and recurring transactions, and handled webhooks to automatically update statuses for failed or rejected payments- Integrated FCT identity verification services into the mortgage management platform via RESTful API, enabling secure, automated KYC checks. Designed API authentication, error handling, and result storage mechanisms, triggering follow-up workflows for approvals or rejections- Enabled automated ingestion of mortgage deals through the SOAP APIs of third-party providers such as M3 and Velocity, parsing and mapping incoming data into the platform’s internal data model. Implemented validation, transformation, and a scheduling/retry system to ensure reliable synchronization- Developed functionality to generate mortgage documents automatically using the LightningDocs API, dynamically assembling documents based on deal-specific data. Implemented template mapping, field population, and automated file storage- Collaborated with developers to build background check and AML compliance tools, integrating external screening services and generating structured compliance reports. Automated alerting for flagged cases ensured timely compliance review and strengthened risk management.
