WORK HISTORY
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (Amft) @Free Association Clinic For Existential Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis
San Francisco, CA, US
At the Free Association Clinic, I am currently maintaining a caseload of 10 clients per week, working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, including diverse cultural identities and trauma histories. I practice psychotherapy using a combination of IFS (Internal Family Systems) and existential psychotherapy principles, while building on incorporating elements of psychoanalysis into my work. I approach therapy from a depth perspective, bringing curiosity and empathy to support each individual’s path toward greater self-awareness and growth. To support my development as a clinician, I participate in weekly didactic sessions focused on psychoanalytic work, along with supervision sessions and case consultations. I am currently supervised by Dr. James Norwood and I am working on expanding my caseload to 20-25 clients.

ABOUT ALEXANDRA THEODORA TSITSIRINGOS
I’m a psychotherapist working at the Free Association Clinic for Existential Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. I was licensed by the BBS as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in July 2025 (lic. 156580), and I am currently supervised by Dr. James Norwood. I practice psychotherapy using a combination of IFS (Internal Family Systems) and existential psychotherapy principles, while building on incorporating elements of psychoanalysis into my work. I’m currently also working on building my research skills in the field. As part of that effort, I completed a short research assistant position at Dr. Jelena Obradović’s lab at the Stanford SPARK Lab. I completed my psychotherapeutic training at San Mateo County\'s Pre to Three program; focusing on maternal mental health, child development, and attachment. During practicum, I grew significantly as an emerging clinician, approaching therapy with a deep respect for the resilience and strength within each human I work with. My training was completed as part of my M.A. in Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco, from which I graduated in May 2025. I pursued this degree while working full time as a software engineer at GoDaddy, where I spent four years working on backend payout systems for GoDaddy Commerce, including instant payouts, Original Credit Transaction (OCT) capabilities, and reporting systems. Being a polymath has always been central to my professional identity; I’m continually developing my skills across both the humanities and engineering. This interdisciplinary approach shapes the way I think, create, and solve problems. In May 2021, I graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations (Concentration: International Security) and a minor in Computer Science. During my time in college, I conducted two independent research projects:\"Narrow Artificial Intelligence Weapons Systems and their Influence on the Balance of Power\", published as part of the Yale Review of International Studies Winter Issue 2019, and \"Improving the Cybersecurity of the US Nuclear Command and Control”, published in the Sigma Iota Rho Journal of International Relations Spring 2020 Edition. One of the most rewarding parts of my Tufts experience was serving as the President of Tufts Women in Computer Science, a group working to make tech a more inclusive space for women in both academic and professional settings.
