ABOUT TSEWANG NAMGYAL
With over 15 years of banking, energy and infrastructure experience across the Americas, I focus on project finance transactions from various perspectives, including leading the portfolio team’s active portfolio management efforts, performing credit monitoring and work outs. In addition, I have worked on origination and analyzing partnership interest investment opportunities in Private Equity Funds. I am committed to leading initiatives to bring mindfulness training within the financial service industry because I believe that the synergy resulting from merging mind training techniques to generate compassion and modern economic system will have a transformative positive impact on the world. My work on mindfulness and compassion training has reached thousands of colleagues within our bank and inspired colleagues at other institutions. Mindfulness has resulted in demonstrated enhanced productivity and efficiency, and increased employee well being. Mindfulness training is now incorporated in our bank’s analyst training program here in the Americas. I was humbled to be recognized for my work with MUFG\'s Culture of Excellence and gain the support of a number of our bank executives. As a current Executive board member of The Tibet Fund (“TTF”), I have been involved in formulating the organization’s strategy, program initiatives, finance and hiring & performance review of senior staff. TTF is the largest Tibet related development organization in the Americas. In December 2012 I successfully launched Reimagining Doeguling (“RDTS”). Doeguling is the name of the refugee settlement in south India where I used to live with a population of around residents. One of the successes of this initiatives has been the demonstration of how critical grassroot efforts and compassionate approach can solve India\'s water shortage. Currently I serve as the Chair of the Advisory Board. An avid traveler, I have visited over twenty countries, and has spent extensive time venturing the Tibetan plateau.
