Dr. Tschakert received a 20••••25 Fulbright Research Scholar Award, the 2021 Forensic Section Best Teaching Innovation Award, 2016 ATA/Deloitte Teaching Innovation Award, the 2015 Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants Outstanding Educator of the Year Award, the 2015 Outstanding Accounting Education Research Award from the Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Section, the 2015 Salem State University Accounting Association Professor of the Year Award, the 2011 Innovation in Accounting Education Award, the 2010 Howard Teall Innovation in Accounting Education Award, and honorable mentions (2012 and 2013) for the AICPA/FSA Mark Chain Innovation in Graduate Teaching Award. His articles have been published in: Issues in Accounting Education Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting Journal of Accounting Education (Elsevier), Advances in Accounting Education: Teaching and Curriculum Innovations (Emerald), Accounting Education (Taylor & Francis), Journal of Forensic and Investigative Accounting (NACVA), Journal of Accountancy (AICPA), The CPA Journal (NYSSCPA), Internal Auditor (IIA), and the 2012 book entitled \"Teaching IFRS\"(Routledge). Dr. Tschakert is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). His current research interests include cryptocurrency regulation, financial statement fraud and corruption, as well as financial statement auditing.
