About Trung Truong

I am a first-generation American; my parents immigrated here in the early eighties from Vietnam and I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up, I was always curious about learning new things. I enjoyed playing chess, reading, basketball, handball, cooking, and snowboarding. My first college degree was in Finance & Investments, which led me to Real Estate Development and Construction. I gravitated towards Building and Construction. Something about seeing a building structure rise out of the ground to become a high-rise building fascinated me, and developing the ability to build building structures became my goal. Since then, throughout the years, I have completed various construction projects that include gut-out remodeling, alterations, additions, and new construction projects. Building Construction is exciting and comes with its rewards, but my curiosity moved me toward the physics and science behind building construction. This led me to pursue another degree in Civil Engineering. I am completing my degree June 2025 and will be taking the fundamentals of engineering exam in January 2025 to become an Engineer in Training. Entering my last semester, I am seeking a position as an intern, co-op or entry-level Civil/ Design Engineer. I am seeking an organization to add value to with my experience in construction & project management and aspire to apply the principles of engineering and physics as a structural design engineer.
