I am a motivated leader with over 15 years of international work experience in the renewable and electricity network industries. I am a chartered engineer and chartered manager with interests in engineering, commercial, regulatory and management challenges. I have been holding leadership roles in a large distribution network operator and renewables developer in the UK.Currently I am Head of Grid - Northern Europe at Lightsource bp responsible for the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Trinidad & Tobago. My grid team is in charge of developing GW\'s of greenfield solar and battery storage pipelines from inception through to energisation. Prior to this, I was Network Strategy Lead accountable for developing the Net Zero investment strategy for SSEN\'s RIIO-ED2 business plan. My other job roles include being the Operating Model Design Lead for a business transformation programme and managing a team of network and system planning engineers optimising the connections of distributed energy resources and large demand. I have expertise in power system modelling and management of large investment portfolios.I am passionate about innovation and R&D with the PhD thesis studying the dynamics of surface discharge occurring in HV switchgear and transformers. I have recently completed an Executive MBA at Henley Business School.
