ABOUT TRUMAN Q.

I am a banking professional specializing in Anti Money Laundering (AML), Countering the Financing of terrorism (CFT), and OFAC/Sanctions compliance. I have deep knowledge in the subject matter and have a diverse experience that strongly positions me for all types of endeavors and challenges in this landscape.In the spring of 2018, I obtained my master’s degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in International Taxation and Financial Services, with a specialization in financial compliance and risk management. During that same time, I became a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) in May 2018 through ACAMS. I continued my growth and development in the banking sector and later became a Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS) through ACAMS in the summer of 2020. My appetite for knowledge and dynamic work experiences has led me to an array of remarkable opportunities. Throughout my professional growth, I was also able to become an experienced mentor working with students and empowering at-risk youth in vulnerable communities to pursue education and taught the foundations of conflict resolution. My BA degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences focused on Political Science with an emphasis in International Security Conflict and Conflict Resolution (ISCOR), and this paved the way for my interest in arbitration and mediation. The culmination of these past experiences landed me in Barcelona, Spain where I obtained a Professional Certificate in Conflict Resolution and Medication from the National Conflict Resolution Center in the Winter of 2015. I consider myself an advocate for my community, and Americans at large. My experience serving with AmeriCorps solidifies this aspiration of mine, and I plan to keep contributing back to my community through my professional growth in new areas.
