ABOUT TRUDIE FELL

Trudie is an entrepreneur, technologist and people-focused leader who believes that private enterprise can, and should, have a positive social impact. She is the CEO and Co-founder of award-winning start-up BelleVie, a company that supports people to thrive at home. BelleVie are reinventing the future of at-home care work, with a radically different team-based operating model, funded by monthly subscriptions, and underpinned by great technology.Trudie spent 11 years working at telco Three UK, where she founded the company’s first diversity group, Women in Tech. They ran a coding course for mothers returning to work, met over 800 school children through a variety of outreach projects and been represented on numerous panels including London Tech Week. Trudie has built and led teams responsible for customer facing front end applications through to back end system architecture. She’s proud of her role in moving a 90 strong digital team from waterfall to agile methodologies, and being part of the team that led the design of an org structure for 850 technical and operations people to move to self-managing circles. Having started her IT career as a software developer she was able to bring a valuable technical perspective to her work in management teams. She is known for bridging the gap between technical and business areas. Others describe her as enthusiastic, determined and collaborative.Trudie started working life as a scientist (she has a PhD about how chickens experience pain!). Her curiosity around how science and technology impacts society has been a big driver in her work to date, and inspired her to join Zinc VC’s social entrepreneurship programme in 2018, where BelleVie was born.
