ABOUT TRU PATEL
I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with minors in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Chemistry and my Masters of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from UNC Chapel Hill. During graduate school, I found my passion lies in working with pediatric populations who are Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing, empowering them to develop spoken language through listening. I recently completed my clinical fellowship at All Ears! Listening and Language Center where I provide services to the DHOH population in early intervention, clinical, and school settings. I provided services to children from birth through adolescence in the North Houston area, both in person and via telehealth. I am also pursuing certification as a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist/Auditory-Verbal Therapist (LSL AVT) to further enhance my ability to support children with hearing loss in maximizing their language development.
