As part of the Small Business and Self-Employed Group (SBSEG) at Intuit, I am helping power prosperity by fueling the success of small businesses, freelancers, and solopreneurs across the globe with QuickBooks. The Adopt a Small Business program I am managing is a new program within Intuit, where a small cross-functional team of employees are paired with a Small Business (SMB) or Self Employed (SE) individual for 2 months. Teams spend a half day each week onsite with their SMB/SE, learning the ups and downs of their business and experiencing first-hand what it’s like to use our products in the real world. Employees are then able to use these experiential learnings to drive product changes, enhance their own product knowledge, and deepen their customer empathy. My mission is to bring this program to the masses and ensure it has the largest possible impact.
