Experience:I am a licensed structural engineer in 13 Western States. I design building structures and foundations of conventional materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, wood, prestressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, tilt-up concrete, stone, FRP (fiberglass), aluminum, lumber, timber, logs, straw, and proprietary products.Goals:I wish to continue to work in the industry as a structural engineer and develop techniques of structural design that involve more environmentally sustainable structural materials and construction methods.Specialties: Structural Engineering of Buildings with Structural Insulated Panels for bearing walls, shear walls, roof framing and floor framing. Timberframe buildings, log buildings, high end homes, multi-family buildings, low-rise and mid-rise commercial buildings, schools, churches, and any occupiable structure with extremely high snow and seismic design loads.
