Hi, I’m Troy.My path began in education, working as a teacher, administrator, and consultant in northern communities. That experience inspired me to study law and explore how policy, governance, and community-led decision-making can create stronger, more equitable outcomes. I hold a Juris Doctor specializing in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University.Today, I serve as an Indigenous Relations Lead with EllisDon Corporation, working with First Nations, governments, and industry partners to build relationships rooted in trust, respect, and accountability. My previous work has included supporting self-government negotiations with Justice Canada, leading engagement and consultation initiatives in the Yukon and Northwest Territories, and co-developing education and training programs that strengthen local capacity and open pathways to opportunity.I believe meaningful engagement is about more than process; it’s about partnership. When relationships are grounded in mutual understanding, they create space for both communities and organizations to grow in ways that are sustainable, inclusive, and aligned with shared values.Feel free to connect.
