ABOUT TROY BOWEN
I have 10 years of experience training pilots and aircrewman in helicopter operations.I currently work as an MH-60 Romeo Helicopter Pilot Instructor performing classroom and simulator instruction for foreign military personnel in conjunction with United States Navy helicopter squadrons.My experience with Foreign Military Sales contracts has been a rewarding opportunity to foster positive relationships with our country\'s allies and has improved my ability as a flight instructor.Prior to my contract work in Foreign Military Sales, I spent seven years as an Officer in the United States Navy. During my time in the military, I was privileged to fly helicopters in support and defense of our country and its interests.My experience as a Naval Officer provided me the opportunity to succeed in various roles to include:• Supervising maintenance technicians and obtaining knowledge of aircraft systems and components• Mentoring Naval Aviators on aircraft operations and professional development• Solving complex problems in a fast-paced operational environment• Fostering positive relationships highlighting the importance of equality, equity, and inclusivityThe various roles I have been employed in during my time in the military shaped the professional I am today.The unique experiences the military has offered me has developed soft skills that will translate well in the aerospace and defense industry in the civilian sector.Outside of the military I have held various roles unrelated to aviation operations.I spent two years as a Project Manager in the transportation industry and obtained my license as a Florida Real Estate Sales Associate.These positions have strengthened my expertise in customer relations, process improvement, expense reports, and bid proposals.I am a hardworking, committed professional who thrives on new challenges and watching those around me succeed.I have started a new challenge this summer by enrolling in business school at the University of Florida.
