WORK HISTORY
Director of Safety @Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT)
US
Lead the Kansas Department of Transportation\'s safety division in growing the safety culture for the agency. I have help lead the agency to almost a 1-million-dollar savings in work comp costs in two years (20••••22). Our employee lost numbers of days reduced by 78% from 2020 to 2022. Tailgate safety briefings have helped employees become more situationally aware of hazards and be more proactive in their approach to safety. I have written many safety articles shared across the agency. These articles help raise awareness to topics and hazards that everyone can relate to. I have published three safety awareness books from these articles and am working on a forth one. The books are called \"KDOT Safety Chronicles.\" These books have helped the articles get more exposure than the articles alone. I believe the articles and books have helped KDOT improve our safety culture exponentially.
