About Troy Fahey

With more than two decades of experience at McDonald’s across Australia and the United States, I’m a senior finance and transformation leader passionate about modernizing complex organizations and helping people thrive through change. I began my McDonald’s journey in as restaurant crew in Australia and advanced through operations, franchising, and finance roles before relocating to the U.S. to take on broader leadership responsibilities. Today, I serve as a Senior Director leading Global Finance Modernization’s Organization Activation work, drawing on deep experience in strategic planning, FP & A, commercial finance, and enterprise transformation.Throughout my career, I’ve built a reputation for strong commercial acumen, high‑level negotiation, and developing scalable financial processes and internal control frameworks. I’m energized by work that integrates people, process, and technology to create long‑term value.I am also a values‑driven leader committed to advancing inclusion and equity. As National Chair of McDonald’s Pride Employee Business Network / Employee Resource Group, I help steward a global community focused on ensuring every LGBTQ+ employee feels seen, safe, and supported at McDonald’s, and that we can use McDonald’s size and scale for good by being active in the communities we serve. Beyond McDonald’s, I serve on the Board of Directors for Center on Halsted, the Midwest’s largest LGBTQ+ community center, helping expand programs that strengthen families, health, and belonging. What motivates me most is developing people, simplifying the complex, and driving transformation that delivers measurable impact, while building cultures where teams can do their best work.
